corn flakes with dried fruit
These are actually awesome. They’re not too sweet, and as much as I would like a GI infusion of sugar before I head on out for the day, the lack of sweetness makes it taste very healthy. It probably is very healthy. The dried fruit is a nice touch, and all in all I’m enjoying it. You know what isn’t awesome, though, I’ve got to be honest. Those stuffballs. I’ve kind of been in denial for the past couple of days, because I haven’t had them in so long and I do love them, but I have to admit that these are not very good. They should be smaller, tighter, and other adjectives that apparently sound like I’m describing something from a cheap porno. No, but seriously, those stuffballs are not up to par. You need to bite into one and taste this explosion of juicy flavor, somewhat like a dimsum, but instead these just fall apart between your teeth. I’m not sure what the problem is, but really, they’re not so bad that I’d rather go without them or anything that drastic. Only, I decided that gushing is good but I need to have standards. And according to those standards, this cereal is good and those stuffballs, not so much.

corn flakes with dried fruit
July. Tuesdays and Thursdays are awful. Getting up any later than seven robs me of either a breakfast or a shower, and even though I’m not known for being the cleanest person around, knowing that I didn’t shower in the morning just makes my mood foul for the rest of the day. So I opt out of breakfast and as a result I am immensely pissy, but only until lunchtime. Anyway, today was a moderate success since I got both in time. This is the new sort of cereal, which I think I might be eating for a while since we are out of vegetables for an omelette and it’s too much work anyway, I have better things to do at seven in the morning than to fix myself an actual meal. Ridiculous.

green tea corn flakes and banana milk
The last day of June and here we are, finishing off the box of improbable cereal. Actually, we bought something Post with dried fruit when we went grocery shopping over the weekend, so I think we are safe so as long as we can get through these last few bowlfuls. It still tastes unremarkable, but is aesthetically oddly pleasing. Somewhat like 80s fashion — it shouldn’t be right, and really, it isn’t, but you accept it for what it is and you revel in it. Monday is here again.

green tea corn flakes
I wasn’t hungry enough to make myself anything for breakfast. So what else is new. Apparently, this box of cereal that everybody knew about before me, since half of it is gone already. They are ridiculous. They are dark green corn flakes and their taste has nothing to do with green tea whatsoever. Yes, I laughed. Yes, I might be having it again, if only because it looks so amazingly pristine and subtly elegant floating in a bowl of reduced-fat milk. The picture doesn’t do its greenness much justice, but trust me, I was blown away.
